Allergies and Intolerances

In recent years, the number of people suffering with allergies and intolerances has grown significantly. It is thought that now around 7% of children suffer from food allergies and a great deal more experience intolerances to items such as dairy, nuts, wheat and even tomatoes.

During the enrolment process we work with each individual family to understand any risks a child might have relating to allergies and intolerances. We them implement a series of processes so that no child comes into contact with an agent that may cause them to have an allergic reaction.

We have successfully cared for children with even the most complex allergies and nutritional needs. All of our staff are suitably trained how to manage allergies and intolerances in early years and have the relevant food hygiene skills enabling them to prepare food for all of our children, no matter what their individual needs may be.
