Orchard Preschool and Playgroup (URN. 106167) was last inspected by Ofsted in October 2015. During that inspection we received a ‘Good’ report.

In the summary of their findings, Ofsted said that they found the quality of teaching, learning and assessment to be good and that the children in our care made good progress in their development whilst in our care.

In the past four years since our inspection we have made many significant improvements to our setting, including:

Better provision for younger children with a dedicated rooms for children aged 8 months to 2 years and 2 – 3 year olds. Age and stage specific learning and activities take place throughout the day as well as giving the children the opportunity to mix as a whole community.

New learning programmes and resources have been introduced to the setting with special focus on developing our children’s understanding of words and numbers formation and meaning.

We continue to seek ways of continually improving the provision we offer our families and will never stop trying to offer the very best quality early years experience we can for all those who join us.
