In order to make the most of our outside and inside space here at Orchard, we like to make sure that all the children who join us are well equipped to cope with whatever conditions they choose to enjoy.
Living in the UK means that the weather is changeable so we encourage our families to pack clothes for all eventualities as we aim to be outside as much as possible.
Here is our suggested kit list:
- Wellies
- Full waterproofs
- Sun hat/woolly hat
- Sun cream
- At least one full change of clothes
- Water bottle
- For babies/children who aren’t potty trained please provide, Nappies, Wipes, Nappy Sacks Please ensure all your child’s clothing (including shoes and boots) are clearly labelled with their name.
Food and drink
Children are offered water throughout the session; we also offer a light snack around 10:30am and again at 3pm, where your child will be offered milk or water and a selection of healthy fruit and vegetables, and crackers, toast or bread sticks.
Parents are to provide their children with a packed lunch. For healthy packed lunch ideas please visit https://www.nhs.uk/change4life/recipes or ask our staff for ideas. Packed lunches are left in the village kitchen on arrival.
Please note we have a no nut policy.
