Saplings

Provision for 2-3 year olds

Children join our Sapling group from the age of two years old.  Our Sapling group is planned to meet the changing needs and interests of our two-year old’s.  We plan a variety of open-ended resources and activities in an enabling and vibrant environment to captivate children’s interest and excitement.  We work with our Saplings to build confidence and resilience, helping to build independence and helping our children to thrive.

Sapling’s outdoor environment

Our Sapling children have use of the Nature Garden and when weather allows, we will often run our whole session outdoors.  Our Nature Garden has been purpose built to meet the needs and requirements of our children.  All the areas of learning are covered in our dedicated outdoor space.  Children are encouraged to actively learn and develop through exploration, investigation, and play.  This safe dedicated space allows children to take risks and test out their ideas.

Saplings indoor environment

Our indoor environment is carefully planned to meet all the areas of learning.  Children are encouraged to explore and investigate building independence and confidence.  We plan to meet children’s interests and needs and will carefully select toys and equipment to cater to our individual children.
